How To Cancel Friend request Send On Facebook

If you have sent a friend request to someone on Facebook by mistake or you just want to cancel it before the concerned person accepts it which is yet to be addressed, then there is no direct way to cancel the sent friend request manually.
According to the policy of Facebook , it automatically terminates a friend request after three months of “no activity”. Until then the request will stay put in the users account , until and unless the later decides to reject or accept it.
I strongly believe that Facebook must change this rule , and give us the chance to revert back , because many times, users end up sending friend request to unknown or a wrong person through mistake.
